Emerging HR Leaders Conference Sponsorship Form

The Virginia Peninsula Chapter of SHRM “PenSHRM” serves the Peninsula and Hampton Roads Human Resource community. PenSHRM is a multi-year SHRM Excel Platinum Award Winner and SHRM Virginia and DC IMPACT Award Winner for leading HR professional development programs and initiatives. As an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and an approved provider of recertification credits for SHRM and HRCI, PenSHRM is a chapter of choice for tenured professionals and those pursuing or interested in pursuing a career in HR and business management/operations.

The PenSHRM Annual Leadership Conference is an opportunity for HR professionals, emerging HR professionals, and business leaders to build upon their professional development journey and develop meaningful relationships within the community. The Leadership Conference will be hosted on September 24, 2026 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. During this one-day event, attendees will gain practical strategies to:

Empower and engage today's workforce
Elevate individual and organizational performance
Lead with inclusion, resilience, and purpose
Explore practical applications of AI in the workplace and its impact on the future of work
Stay informed on the latest employment law updates impacting today's workplace

Eligibility:

Emerging HR Leaders are invited to apply for sponsorship to attend this highly anticipated event. Sponsorship opportunities are available for current PenSHRM members and students currently majoring in HR Management or Business. Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Students:

Must be a current college student or recent graduate (Dec 2025 or May 2026)
Field of study in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

HR Professionals:

Must be an active Peninsula SHRM member
Must be early career with zero to two years of experience
