Speaker Bio:

Raymond C. Ferrara is the Director of Corporate Security and Business Continuity for Ferguson Enterprises, Inc., Newport News Virginia, a Wolseley Company.   Ferguson Enterprises is ranked by trade publications as the largest wholesale distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings (PVF) in the US.  Ray is board certified in security management through ASIS International as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).  He is also 2^nd Vice Chairman of the Law Enforcement Liaison Council (LELC) with ASIS International.  Ray is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners through which he holds a designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  He is a Certified Protection Officer (CPO) through the International Foundation for Protection Officers, and is also a Certified Business Manager (CBM) through the Association of Professionals in Business Management.   Ray is involved in business continuity management planning through the Business Continuity Institute and is listed as an MBCI.  He holds a masters’ of science in education from Old Dominion University and is a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.  Ray is currently SHRM member studying to acquire his SHRM-SCP.  Following military retirement, Ray was a Virginia State Trooper serving the Hampton/Newport News Area as a patrol K- 9 handler.  He worked for Anheuser Busch Corporation as the Security Manager for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA.  Following that opportunity Ray was the criminal justice instructor for New Horizons Regional Education Center in Newport News, Virginia.  Until 2010, Ray was an auxiliary police officer with the James City County Police Department in Williamsburg, Virginia. Ray and his wife Valerie Clark-Ferrara reside in Newport News, Virginia.  Valerie is a senior audit manager with Bon Secours Health Care System.  They have three grown children.  Alicia, the oldest is married and resides in Williamsburg, Virginia.  Casey graduated from medical school in May 2015.  He and his wife Ashley reside in Colombia, South Carolina while Casey completes his residency in emergency medicine.  Bryce is employed with the federal government and he and his bride Leah reside in Northern Virginia.  He is also an 0311 infantry Marine Corps reservist assigned to the 4^th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Quantico, Virginia.
